POSITION TITLE: Administrative Intern

TYPE OF POSITION: Part Time, non-exempt, hourly, temporary

REPORTS TO: Office Manager or Executive Director

SUPERVISES: None

PAY RATE: $15/hour

JOB SUMMARY: Working opportunities to support administrative functions for a non-profit social services organization. This position is designed for a junior or senior in high school or recent graduate.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School students in their junior or senior year with a recommendation from a counselor, teacher, or other community member familiar with the student;

OR

  • Recent High School Graduate with references.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to effectively interact with a wide range of audiences.
  • Proficient with computer skills in generally used office software programs.

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with children and/or adults and families in the field of disabilities or special education.
  • Experience in a professional office setting. Work experience in related positions may be substituted, with demonstrated ability to perform required job duties.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 General administrative duties

  1. File or upload documentation for ACCA Programs
  2. Create agency documents to support staff service delivery.

Marketing

  1. Review current collateral for needed updates or refresh
  2. Organize ACCA banner outreach and identify needed banners in collaboration with other ACCA staff.
  3. Support the development of “Throwback Thursday” social media campaign.

Projects

  1. Support with planning the ACCA Annual Family Picnic
  2. Inventory and organization support for treatment room equipment, toys, and supplies.

Other duties may be assigned when identified as supporting the internship.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:  General office environment.  Conditions are pleasant, clean and professional where accidents/hazards are negligible.   Requires use of computer, fax, copier and other relevant office equipment or software.  Clear diction, listening skills and appropriate professional office and telephone etiquette are necessary for effective communication with staff and public. May be exposed to illness-causing bacteria and viruses.
